The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild Presents It’s 17th Annual “5 by 7 Show”

by Editorial Staff

Preview Party on Friday, December 2, 5:00 — 7:00 pm at the Kleinert/James Center on Tinker St. in Woodstock, N.Y.

The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild’s annual 5 by 7 Show, returns this Friday, December 2, with what is usually the biggest opening party of the Art Season. The 5 by 7 Show, is one of the Guild’s premier events exhibiting artists from all over the Hudson Valley and beyond. Often called, “Everyone’s Favorite Little Show”, the small works are exhibited anonymously and each is priced at $100. This is a major fundraising event for the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, which offers an extensive line-up of Arts programming throughout the year.

True to its name, all work is restricted to 5 inches by 7 inches in size. The anonymity allows the 5 by 7 Show to give an equal voice to all and showcase the talent of the Guild’s members side by side with that of the international art world community in our midst.

The original 5 by 7 Show included only 100 submissions. Now, after having enjoyed extraordinary growth through its history, the Guild has received an astounding number of submissions this year (close to 400!). The 5 by 7 Show is a unique tribute and celebration of  the artists’ amazing creativity and generosity.

The Kleinert/James Gallery will be open on Saturday, December 3 from 12 — 9pm as part of the annual Woodstock Open House event which kicks off the Holiday Season.
