Maverick Concerts begins its 102nd festival with the innovative programming we’ve come to expect. Performances begin on Friday evening with the indie-classical quartet ETHEL in a uniquely creative collaboration with renowned local artist Kate McKloughlin at the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum on Friday evening.
ETHEL will continue on Saturday morning at Maverick’s revered Concert Hall for what should prove to be an illuminating beginning to Maverick’s traditional Young People’s Concert series. Then it’s ETHEL again for Saturday evening’s concert with their not to be missed program that includes the quartet’s own arrangements of songs by several of their favorite “rock” legends.
The weekend of music in the woods continues on Sunday afternoon as Maverick kicks off its chamber music series featuring the spectacular Miro Quartet.
