A QUEST”, EPORTH CAMP, HIGH FALLS- Rather than makingthe rounds
to all the spooky/gory haunted houses around, check out the Wayfinder
Experiences version. A haunted forest with faeries and phantasms,
or the mythic Journey to the Underworld, all using interactive storytelling,
music, and. . . bonfires. With proceeds benefiting the Vanaver Caravan
Youth Company, this two-day event attempts to bring back the magic

10/15, 22, 29: “WHAT IS ENLIGHTENMENT? The Science, Culture,
and Politics of Reason,” Lecture Series at Olin Hall, Bard
COllege- People interested in starting their week with pithy and
thought provoking discussion might want to drop in to Olin Hall
at Bard College Monday afternoons in October. The series kicks off
with Youssef Yacoubi on 10/15, then “Sor Juana’s Dream:
The Elusive Pursuit Of Knowledge,” with Nicole Caso on 10/22,
and “Galileo and Modern Science: The Union of Observation

10/19-21: IONES 12Th Annual DreaM Festival, KINGSTON- The good folks
at the Deep Listening Institute are putting on a dream-inspired
festival in Midtown Kingston. Starting with the Marathon Of Dreamers
on Friday [7 PM], things progress into Dreamwaker: Concert with
Weave, featuring Sarah Weaver [9 PM], and culminating in Virtual
Overnight Dreaming [10-midnight]. Saturday starts with a Free Kid’s
Dream Art Workshop at the Kingston Heritage Center [in the Rondout,
11 AM], and Quaque Nocte, a kinetic sculpture with performers, video,
and sound [7 PM]. Sunday features the Lucid Tea Party with composer
Zevin Polzin [5 PM], and a Rumi Night, featuring Steve Gorn [flute]
and John de Kadt [percussion], and Peter Rogen reading selections
