11/23: Beacon arts and community association Presents a lighting
cereMony and holiday concert, Beacon- Kicking off Beacon’s
holiday season of weekend events, BACA starts off with Mayor Clara
Lou Gould flipping the switch, then a special concert of sacred
arias and holiday favorites by soprano Irina Mozyleva and pianist
Svetlana Gorokhovich at the Howland Center, 474 Main St., at 5 PM.
Sa/Su 12/1 & 2 is when the judging for the Most Decorated Storefront
and the Best Lit on Main Street will take place, and the Beacon
Business Association will be sponsoring the first Festival of Trees,
a silent auction of table top trees decorated by artists and designers,
with the winners to be announced on Second Saturday. Sa 12/8 is
Second Saturday in Beacon, with the following weekends featuring

THURS: coMMunity yoga class at satya yoga, rhineBeck- Satya Yoga
Center in Rhinebeck is pleased to offer a new yoga class for community
members for a reduced rate of $5 per class. Whether you want to
study yoga, but can’t afford it, or have little or no experience
and want to try yoga, this class welcomes all people and is gentle,
safe and fun. Yoga is good for everyone, as it can increase strength
and flexibility, and help relieve health-related issuess, like insomnia
and stress. Come practice yoga with Krisha Showalter, a certified
yoga instructor also trained in the bodywork technique of Structural
Integration. There is no need to pre-register, just wear comfortable
