Festival—Formed
in Jamaica in 1964, The Skatalites can make the valid claim that
they invented ska music. Without a doubt, they are one of the most
infl uential groups in the history of reggae music, and after much
success, heartbreak, and perserverance, and millions of miles logged
performing all over the globe, most recently on their 40th anniversary
tour, they’re still a powerful musical force. A new CD (On
